Village of Blume an Eco-Sustainable Community
PE2 is currently the Project Engineer for the Village of Blume a 360 acre eco-sustainable community under consideration in Harrisburg, NC. The Village of Blume property incorporates unique amenities including a 25-acre working farm, Market Square and full service YMCA in addition to more than 600 residential units.
Sustainable living at Blume will be incorporated into each phase of the community's development and will be promoted through a variety of features including complete streets w/bicycle lanes, safe pedestrian walkways and natural stormwater management systems, more than 3 miles of walking, biking and nation along Reedy Creek, two solar farms to help off-set the community's energy needs, and attractive energy efficient homes, certified by a third party verification process.In addition to these features and to further emphasize our commitment to sustainability, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Audubon Lifestyles Organization. Audubon Lifestyles and the Certified Audubon Lifestyles Site designation assures that efforts during the planning, construction and development of the community meet the goals and objectives of The International Sustainability Council's (ISC's) Principles of Sustainability.
